New Exhibition ' Sullied' Opens February 24, 2022.
Australian fine art photographer Cricket Saleh's latest exhibition, Sullied opens February 24, 2022, at Boom Gallery (online and in gallery).
In her photographic artworks, Saleh explores the still life genre, simultaneously referencing art historical understandings of the medium and subverting it to create photographic artworks that are, at first glance, easily mistaken for oil paintings.

Self Portrait, Cricket Saleh.
Leaning into her 30 years of photographic mastery, Saleh creates the illusion of a painted surface through exceptional lighting techniques. Her works are sophisticated with crisp, simple compositions with tangible texture and moody tones.
Saleh's work is cerebral and highly intellectual, referencing themes including beauty, indulgence, consumption, and decay. Saleh's effortless ability to capture a feeling and atmosphere is a testament to her philosophical musings on life's ephemeral nature.

In 2019, Saleh's work This Too Shall Pass was acquired into the permanent contemporary collection of the Geelong Gallery, and her highly coveted photographic artworks appear on the walls of the most considered bon vivant.
Sullied by Cricket Saleh, opens February 24 - March 20 at Boom Gallery (the exhibition is available both in the gallery and online).
